Neoslave – Autoviolator

After reviewing Neoslaves 2017 released record “From Womb to Doom” (a good year too late but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ), we now dedicate ourselves to his new release “Autoviolator”. The last time the album began with epic choirs as you may recall. So what expects us now?

Maybe again with something orchestral ?… OH GOD DAMN. After the first few tunes of “Future is Dead” we feel like our brain is melting, everything in our body is being electrified and our speakers blast out bpm counts that remind us of drum n bass.

Neoslaves record doesn’t hesitate, it sets the tone quite early, as if Robocop (1987), Total Recall (1990) and a synthesizer on crack had a child together.

The next few pieces of music continue with the same energy, “Brutal Moves” speaks for itself, so to the dancefloor with you and show us some… brutal moves. And while you’re on it maybe we give you “Electric Death Machine” to dance to.

Of course we know the track “Greedy Little Eyes” already from the released music video. Again the tone is rather dark, hard with a hunch of satanism. We’re looking forward to the witch incantations on the dancefloor.

“Cross of Fire” and “The New Slaves” go the same path as se previous tracks, till this point the record stayed true to the tone established in the beginning. This changes with “Love Oscillator”, the tempo drops and the tone changes. Everything moves in slowmotion and increases with “Demonize” in pacing. The pace continues from this point till the end of the record without getting dull or repetitive.

In conclusion: Damn. The record is a banger. This shit is fire bruh! Or however you want to put it in words. What I’m trying to say is that “Autoviolator” goes further than “From Womb to Doom”. It’s darker, harder, faster, stronger (work it, make it, do it) and overall better and keep in mind that the previous record was very very fucking good.

Nachdem ich bereits das 2017 erschienen Album von Neoslave “From Womb to Doom” gereviewed habe (mit einem Jahr Verspätung aber  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ), widme ich mich heute dem neu veröffentlichten Album “Autoviolator”, damals begann das Album mit epischen Chören, was erwartet uns diesmal zu Beginn der Platte?

Vielleicht wieder was episches orchestrales?… OH MEIN GOTT. Nach den ersten paar Klängen des Tracks “Future is Dead” fühlt es sich an als würde unser Gehirn schmelzen, alles wird unter strom gestellt und aus den Boxen dröhnen bpm Zahlen die an Drum n Bass erinnern. Lange wird nicht gefackelt, es wird schnell klar in welche Richtung das Album geht. Es ist als ob Robocop (1987), Total Recall (1990) und ein Synthesizer auf Speed ein Kind gezeugt hätten.

Die nächsten Tracks machen mit der selben Power weiter, “Brutal Moves” wird wohl genau diese auf der Tanzfläche von euch abverlangen. Wir freuen uns schon darauf diesen oder auch den folgenden “Electric Death Machine” etwas zu laut über die Tanzfläche zu jagen.

Den Track “Greedy Little Eyes” kennen wir natürlich bereits von dem zuvor veröffentlichten Musikvideo. Der Tonus ist auch hier düster, hart mit einem Hauch von satanismus. Das werden ein paar schöne Hexenbeschwörungen im Club.

“Cross of Fire” und “The New Slaves” schlagen hier ebenfalls in die gleiche Kerbe. Bisher hat sich der Stil streng durch das Album durchgezogen ohne viel Umschweife in andere Gefilde. Dies ändert sich mit dem Track “Love Oscillator”, hier bricht das Tempo und der Tonus. Alles scheint wie in Zeitlupe abzulaufen um dann in “Demonize” wieder an Geschwindigkeit zu gewinnen. Diese wird bis zum Ende des Albums beibehalten ohne dass es ins Langweilige abdriftet.

Fazit: Das Ding ballert. So richtig. Da fliegt einem der Hut weg, es zieht einem die Socken aus. Oder wie man es auch immer ausdrücken will. Die Platte setzt nach “From Womb to Doom” ordentlich einen drauf was Härte angeht. Es ist düsterer und derber. Genau das was man wollte als man auf das neue Album gewartet hat.
