Das Album „Sentient“ von Oscillian ist eine kleine Reise durch die Welt von Roboter und deren KI.
Wir haben hier eine Reihe sehr atmosphärischer Songs mit guten Spannungsbögen und Abwechslung. Auf vielen Tracks gibt es zudem auch gesprochene Passagen, was dem Album eine ganz eigene lyrische Tiefe verleiht.
Die Bandbreite reicht von Songs wie „Sentient“, was düster beginnt, dann aber eher sehr verträumt und sphärisch endet, bis hin zu vorwärts preschenden Tracks wie “Activate”. Mein Highlight ist der wunderschöne vocal track „The Brightest Cry“.
Im Ganzen ist es ein sehr gutes, spaciges Synthwave Album, in das man echt mal reinhören sollte!

Oscillian’s new album „Sentinent“ is a little journey through the world of robots and AI.
We are presented with a suite of very atmospheric songs with fascinating arcs of suspense and plenty of variety. A number of tracks come with passages of spoken word, which adds a certain lyricall depth to the record.
The span ranges from songs like the title track, starting out with a dark sentiment, but evolving into a dreamy, spherical ending, all the way to pumping tracks lice “Activate”. My favorite is the beautiful vocal track “The Brightest Cry”.
All in all it’s a great, spacy Synthwave album, and you should make sure to give it a listen!
