Miami Cyber Nights ist ein Eventmanagement, Booking und DJ Team mit Sitz in Darmstadt. Unsere Leidenschaft ist Synthwave und die damit verbundene 80er-Jahre-inspirierte Popkultur. Als fruehe Pioniere der Synthwave Kultur in Deutschland hoffen wir, unseren Teil zum Wachstun und zur Reifung des Genres beizutragen. Mit diesem Hintergrund organisieren wir eine Vielzahl an Veranstaltungen, von Konzerten und Partys, bis hin zu Retroboersen.
Synthwave ist ursprünglich aus New Wave- und Soundtrack-Klängen von Filmen, Videospielen und Zeichentrickfilmen der 80er Jahre entstanden. Gerade Komponisten wie John Carpenter, der nicht nur als Regisseur, Drehbuchautor und Produzent, sondern auch als Komponist insbesondere mit den Soundtrack-Alben zu ´Asssault on Precinct 13´, ´Halloween´ oder ´The Fog´ weltberühmt wurde, und Soundtrack-Artisten wie die Italiener GOBLIN, die größtenteils zu Horrorfilmen ihren Beitrag lieferten sowie musikalisches Neuland betretende Künstler wie TANGERINE DREAM, die nicht nur Wegbereiter der Berliner Schule waren, sondern als Pioniere elektronischer Musik angesehen werden müssen, hatten einen enormen Einfluss auf die nachfolgenden Generationen. Wir bringen diese Musik in Partyform in die Clubs und bringen euch die Vielfalt der Synthwave-inspirierten Popkultur näher! Celebrate New Retro Wave!

Miami Cyber Nights is an event management, booking and DJ collective headquartered in Darmstadt. Our passion is synthwave and the associated 80s-inspired pop culture. As early pioneers of the synthwave culture in Germany, we hope to do our part to contribute to the growth and maturation of the genre. With this in mind, we organize a variety of events, ranging from concerts and parties to retro markets.
Synthwave originates from the New Wave and soundtrack tunes of the movies, video games and cartoons of the 80s. Especially composers like John Carpenter who beyond his work as a director, writer and producer became famed for his soundtracks to ‘Assault on Precinct 13’, ‘Halloween’, or ‘The Fog’, and soundtrack artists like the Italian GOBLIN, who mainly contributed to Horror movies, or artists with a more experimental musical approach such as TANGERINE DREAM, who didn’t only pave the way for the Berlin School, but are also one of the key pioneers of electronic music, had a profound influence on the following generations. We are bringing this music to the clubs in polished party format, and want to open your eyes to the incredible variety of pop culture that draws its inspiration from the synthwave scene.
